the city of rome C. 133 bce - 29 ce
WELCOME to Kandos High School's website on the ancient city of Rome. Our Year 11 Ancient History students of 2015 have been given the challenge of constructing a webpage that demonstrates their research, knowledge and understanding of a variety of buildings and structures from the ancient city. This website includes both their course work and the culmination of their assessment work.
A formal copy of the task given to the students can be found here.
Students, you will find the relevant syllabus content and a copy of your assessment task on the site.
You should work your way through the information and activities regarding the geographical features of Rome's location, the Cloaca Maxima, Via Sacra & Forum Romanum before beginning your assessment work.
If you look carefully at the way the pages for the Cloaca Maxima and the Via Sacra & Forum Romanum are presented, as well as their content, you will notice that they fulfil the requirements of the assessment task. You should use these as examples to refer to when you are designing your own pages. If you require any help, make sure that you ask!
